Underbelly

just a small comment,
I'm sitting at home watching tv, and suddenly "Underbelly" came on! I can see it in Norway, but you can't see it in Melb... hihi! :D

Everything is moving to fast...

Hi,
I've been planing to write a new post for some days now, but I keep running out of time. School everyday this week, and Helle was visiting last weekend. It was so much fun having her over, she came Sat at 06.30 with the night train. We had a lot of coffee and met a lot of people in the day and a half she was here. My grandparnts came over, my grandma even had permition to leave the hospital she's in right now. And we had some great hours with lunch and good stories, before they left again. And then my dad and Aurora came over to say hi. At 6o'clock me and Pål had tickets to see a comedy show (Ylvis 3), so Helle went to meet a friend. The comedyshow was fantastic and so much fun, and after we went to catch up with Helle and Silje (her friend). They were at a bar drinking beer, so we joined them. It was a fun night. Sunday morning before Helle left we had breakfast with my aunts. And then she had to leave. And I had some school stuff to do, so we went home. Later we went to see an outdoor screening of a swedish movie "Låt den retta komma inn". It was cold, but heaps of fun. We had three blankets and winterclothing on! :D

These last few days I've not done anything other that sleeping and been to school. And today I desided I deserved to get my hair done. So now I have shortish hair again...

I wanted to thank everyone that helped me with my first assignment on flickr. I'm now almost done with another one. Selfportrait that looks like/ has the same feel as/inspried by an other picture... I choose a picture by Cindy Sherman, not shure about this one jet, so if you have any ideas or comments, please let me know...

Babysitting and party

Hi everyone,
The last week has been a lot of fun. I've been working on my assingments, had some nice cousy nights with Pål, and sat my sister and brother came over. We had a lot of fun, they're 10 and 12 so I had some difficulty keeping them occupied (i don't have a lot for young people to do here) but all you really need is a computer and an xbox. My sister was playing "spore" every availible moment and JM, my brother was playing games on the xbox. So it went fine! =) We had a couple trips to the skatepark here in Oslo and also a nice night wisit to the new opera building. It was a lot of fun. More school this week, but no new assignments, so I still have some time to work on the one we got a few weeks ago. I only have selfportrait left, it sounds like an easy task, but it's the hardest one i think. I can't think of any good ways to do it. Everything is allready done, and I kinda want it to be special. I just have to keep trying. It's not due untill next monday.

Other than that we had a party with the people in my class yesterday. It was a really good way to get to know everyone in my class. It's so much easier to get to know people in that kind of setting. So it seems really good, alot of great people. So it's all good! =)

My sister, Helle, is coming down from Trondheim this weekend. Can't wait for her to come, it's gonna be fun. She hasn't even seen my new place yet. YEY!

How is everyone? Anything fun happend lately?

First week

Hi,
I started monday with a very laidback subject called portfolio development. We only talked about what we've done before, and what to ecspect from this semester and school. We did get a few assignments to work on, so I used all day monday to work on it. Even got around to take a few pictures for one of them. The themes for the assignments are: selfportrait, fall, passion and a small documentation of something.
I have some ideas that I want to try out, I'll let you know if it goes well and let you see when I'm done. In the mean time, I'll post work in progress on my flickr page, so if you feel like helping me out, please do. I need all the feed back and help I can get.

Yesterday I had camera and camera use. It was fantastic, I love that they take the basics so seriously. I did know a lot of it, but now I know how it works and why some of the things are like they are. When you teach yourself, you miss out on a lot of important stuff, so I'm very happy they go trough everything like that. It was alot about cameras and how they work, lenses and other cameraequipment. What to look for, how to use it and the difference between them. Can't wait to learn more about it. I also had Digiatl Darkroom yesterday, but not much new there. Wery basic about tagging your pictures, brige and stuff you shuld and shuldn't do when importing a new batch. Some good tips and ideas, and it's important that people learn that stuff. It saves you alot of time a energy.

I have today of, so I' gonna use today to take some more pics for the assignment.

How is everything with you guys?

hugs

Then is official, I'm a photography student...

Hi,
I had my first day at Bilder Nordic on Tuesday. Just met everyone and got a lot of information about the school and what we're gonna do this semester. It sounds great, and I can't wait to get started. This semester I'm gonna have Picture Communication, Camera and camerause, Digial Darkroom and some other classes. The school has a lot of workshops and different photographers coming to the school to have lectures. So it's very exciting. I have my first class Monday morning, portfolio development. YEY! Haven't done much this week, just some get to know eachother stuff. Lots of fun, and it seems like great people I'm gonna go there with. So I think it's gonne be alot of fun. The school is very open, and all students have 24/7 acces to the school. Studioes and everything.

This weekend we're just gonna relax and be at home I think. It's going to be some busy months ahead, but hopefully it's goning to be worth it. I can't wait to start. I'll let you know what happens..
